Shrine of Saint Therese
The shrine is owned by the Catholic Diocese. Please be considerate and respectful when diving there. There is no parking down by the buildings. You must park up in the parking lot and walk down. Please do not dive on Sundays or other days services are being held at the shrine. Be considerate of your use of the restrooms and do not use them as a place to gear up. That being said, there is a small wall on the side of the island that faces away from the shore. The entry is very rocky and it’s best to go at high tide to avoid walking across the rocks. Swim out and behind the island. This is a good spot to see sea lions. The side of the path out to the shrine that is on Pearl Harbor (the cove) is not very interesting. Basic mud bottom found in most of the coves around Juneau.
