The Rescue Diver course is should be a minimum goal for anyone serious about diving.

What are the prerequisites?

PADI Advanced Openwater Diver certification or equalivent
Current Emergency First Response certification or equalivent

What will be covered?

We will cover a variety of rescue topics and scenarios including:

Self-rescue and diver stress
AED and emergency oxygen delivery systems
diving first aid
swimming and non-swimming rescue techniques
emergency management and equipment
panicked diver response
underwater problems
missing diver procedures
surfacing the unconscious diver
in-water rescue breathing protocols
egress (exits)
first aid procedures for pressure related accidents
dive accident scenarios

Courses are generally scheduled over a couple weeks, and include both classroom and openwater sessions. Cost $295 includes course manual and PADI certification fees.
